If they are smart enough to take it. I bet a lot of the dumb and bad ones will think they can hide... and, don't forget that if they are shitty fed workers then they probably don't want to have to go look for a real job. The bigger irsk is that smart and good fed workers will take the offer and high-tail it out of their fed job so as to avoid the chaos, and to find good employment elsewhere. It's risky, which is my only point, really. I just would have done it smarter.
This high performing fed is considering the offer...although there is incentive for me to stay until the end of March 2026 to collect my full pension without any penalty.
It must be a challenging decision. I wish you the best in your discernment process, and thank you for being a dedicated fed employee.
I sincerely appreciate that thoughtful reply. Many assume that we're all "deadwood" -- and I can assure you (and have the annual assessments to back it up) that I have been an over-and-above performer for 20+ years now in fed gov't service. Again...TY. :)
They can hide because they're all in on it together. That's one of the problems with this gambit by Trump and team.
