When I was a kid we visited relatives in Canada, it was so advanced compared to Ireland, so many food choices and candies. I remember the different flavours of chips, we only had cheese and onion or salt and vinegar.
My favourite Canadian uncle often brought us to baseball and hockey games, where we loved hotdogs, something we never had in Ireland, he would tell us that hotdogs were made from tongues and butt cheeks.
I think tongues and butt cheeks is being kind :) I think "made from whatever fell to the floor during processing of the rest of the cow" is closer to the truth :)
Thanks for sharing winn, great info.
As I posted on another thread;
Hienz ketchup ingredients in Ireland; Tomatoes, vinegar, salt, sugar, spices.
That’s it. What’s in the US versions?
Snipes and snails and puppy dogs tails.
Actually mostly sugar. I read they use a different name for the sugar like corn syrup or something.
Yeah, high fructose corn syrup. Fructose is a killer. You should even avoid fruits that contain fructose.

In hindsight, I don’t think he was joking.
