This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

When they say “it’s not about that!” they’re NOT lying. I strongly suspect that it about meeting some emotional need, and not any fact.
I suck at this part, for the record, but maybe someone here has some success with it? I try my hardest to be respectful in debates and conversations, but don’t care half a crap about someone’s emotions if they conflict with truth. There’s good and bad in that.
Identify the emotional need or what’s missing spiritually, address that, somehow, and you win the person.

What is the fear, anger, jealousy, repressed abuse, unforgiveness? How is it impacting the ability to see, or perhaps admit, the truth?

Wrong person to ask. I take the Bible. There's only 2. Male or Female. Genesis. I believe that.
Now, there's something about asexual and I have seen that. Those people are generally either shaman, medicine people and they are not attracted to either and tend to be alone the rest of their lives. They don't like close interactions with others. Those people do exist but they are rare.
