Howdy frens. I reported on my observations of life close to the U.S./Mexico border last week and this is the update I mentioned in that post.
Here's the post from last week for any interested:

So...border patrol checkpoint was pretty much back to normal, as in, what it was like during my 30+ years living in this area, minus the shit show during the Biden occupancy.
A typical CBP checkpoint pass would have you waiting in line anywhere from a couple minutes to up to 15 or so, depending on traffic. When you pull up, the CBP officer asks if everyone is a U.S. citizen and gives everyone the once over to see if any vehicle occupants give reason for a closer inspection. they also frequently have drug dogs on duty and may run one around your vehicle but usually they are not present or will only search certain vehicles that I guess they have reason to suspect something.
My most recent pass through the checkpoint took about 5 minutes. Drug dogs were on duty but I did not see any vehicles given extra attention. CBP officer gave us the once over, asked our citizenship, and actually looked in for a better view of passenger compartment. He told us have a nice day and we were on our way. Station appeared very well staffed with at least 8 CBP vehicles in parking area.
To give a comparison for how things were during Biden's time. This particular CBP checkpoint would frequently be closed entirely - meaning no one was being inspected. When they were open, I never saw more than 2 or 3 of CBP vehicles in the parking area and I don't remember there being dogs on duty either. It was also common for them to just wave you through without checking your citizenship.
Thanks for sharing. What I find interesting is that, yes, Biden's "border policy" was atrocious, but I still would've thought the CBP agents would've done their jobs and still check people without the auto wave through. I would think, to even have that job, you gotta have some love for country (patriots or at least semi-patriot), so despite the Biden regime's wide open policies, you'd still carry out the duties.
These checkpoints are within 100 miles of the border, usually about 75 miles in. The CPB personnel were being sent to process the illegals. hence the closing of the checkpoint or short staffing. They normally have two lanes, one for semis and buses, the other for regular passenger vehicles. When short staffed, they had only one lane and traffic would get really backed up if checking vehicles that looked like they were okay. Not trying to excuse not checking, just explaining why i think they were usually not.
