Back when Apple at least pretended they weren't part of the machine.
Well, Steve Jobs was quite different than "Tim Apple" and the current board. I'm not sure that back then Apple WAS "part of the machine.
After they brought Steve out skin and bones, in a long black shirt, I knew Apple died that day.
Yeah. Sad memory.
Steve said no. Tim Apple said yes.

Pretty sure it was the first time a major Hollywood director did a commercial. I was 14 when it came out and remember how big a deal it was
It WAS a big deal at the time, made a lot of waves, and I was puzzled that it only ran that ONE time.
Apple beat to such a different drummer at that time.
Steve Jobs ran the artistic vision and he was a different thinker at that time, similar to Elon Musk, just not as engineering smart.
Definitely as smart in creative, if not more so.
Such different times and people. My favorite times, for sure.
Had John Hughes making planes, trains and automobiles, while we were under threat of Soviet annihilation.
Young people today, have no clue. Way too sheltered and no value of entertainment.
