For too long Germany has listened to everybody else, with their carefully prepared, glossy, WEF-sourced pop-management literature aimed at local government officials. Instead of pragmatism, they are told of an ideological mind-set - to tackle the difficult things like gender ideology. Never mind the homeless and freezing pensioners.
Germany was always a patchwork of tribes. The globalists of the time, before WW1, envisioned power in numbers, and wished to aggragate all of the fiefdomes into one big country. But the problem was as old as the Tower of Babel story. What to do with German enclaves in Slavic countries, for example? Or those pesky Frisians up North? The early attempts just put the yarls and dukes and-so-forth in a mutually satisfactory room together. So Germany was never democracy-pure. The Brits suffered the same delusion, as did Russia.
Of course, such a power vacuum attracted a scurrelous bunch of actors, as is the case now, and the population was mass-sucked in by the propaganda on their new radio-sets.
The old system was that the titled elites were pampered and shooled to remain elites, behind closed doors, without much regard for what was happening around them. But that is not a title problem, it is a morality problem and a lack of transparency problem, as was discovered by people waking up out of the Iron Age. [Christian Kings]
The new system requires vigilance by the people. A truly revolutionary thought. But how? Voting? What if the polls are rigged? How does one find out who to vote for? Via the media, and by what they say. What if that is filled with propaganda, and scripts from bad actors? We can no longer rely on those who claim they know better. And Germans are now in a large moment of self-reflection. Do they want REAL democracy?
It´s still occupied by the USA under the never abolished rules of occupation. It has NO peace treaty! We´re still at war with two thirds of the world. The UN Enemy Clause is only currently not valid, but it was NOT revoked!
VP Vance´s speech gives us based Germans hope, but...
Currently, WW2 rules are still in effect. USA was meant to 'keep Germany down' to prevent another Hitler-rising. This explains the justification to censor AfD to death. And the smears of their leaders being Nazi.
Although I cannot for the life of me figure out why the US and UK morphed 'figHting NAzis' into Fighting their former ally, who changed from Soviets into Russia. The Soviets had sacrificed so much, and THEY freed the victims from the camps. Was it Military Jealousy, or an afterbirth of WW2 elite Military competition for top-spot?
BTW, if one wants to watch an honest account of what went on, on the Western Front - check out A Bridge too Far. When it came out, I thought it was a comedic/noir portrayal of useless generals and incompetent military math. As kids, the top KEK was the Sheeee-it from the American with the cigar. Turns out, the film-makers weren't making fun of the Americans or British, or listing all the SNAFUS in a row for comedic effect - the ending is super-sad, so black comedy? - What actually happened was that the film-makers were portraying the militaries just as they were - with lots of little details borne out in historical records. There is a whole fan community who pore over the documented details.

Listen to yourselves!
In all fairness to the Germans, they aren't overly smart when it comes to their leaders. Over 200 yrs of tyrants tends to do that to people.

I hope they don't want a real democracy. That is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner. I hope they waant a real republic.
Elections untainted by censorship would be a start.
Germany is NOT a sovereign nation!

I was gunna say.
But I was looking at the older history.
