New Jersey bans safe, effective ammunition
Among the things at once hilarious and alarming to those who understand and support the Bill of Rights—all of it—are the efforts of anti-liberty/gun cracktivists. This includes not only the operatives of anti-gun groups whose normal disco...
This tactic started with [Hussein] and will continue until [they]'ve effectively banned firearms.
Unless, of course, The People don't let them get away with it.
Not to mention micro-stamping of ammo, "smart guns" that need your fingerprint or other bio-ID before they'll function, heavy taxation on ammo, and anything else they can dream up to make sure THEY AND THEIR LACKIES are the only ones allowed to be armed.
"The People don't let them get away with it."
...indeed...
The article mentions, but only in passing, that hardball (non-hollowpoint, full-metal-jacket) bullets are prone to over-penetration, meaning they are more likely to pass through a person, a wall, a door, or whatever they hit and continue on -- to possibly kill or injure someone who is next in the bullet's path.
THIS makes hardball ammo LESS safe in urban environments. You might stop your assailant with hardball ammo (although it might take several shots more than it would with hollowpoints, as a hardball bullet that exits the target and continues on takes much of its energy with it; hollow points are more likely to dump ALL of their energy in the target while also creating a wider wound channel and more hydrostatic shock) but you might also kill an adult or a child in the next room with those same bullets.
So when a criminal gets back up and kills me because my ammo was ineffective, can my family sue these morons?
"can my family sue these morons?"
...probably not...
...but that is exactly why this type of male bovine excrement is laid at our doorsteps...
I, a liberal democrat, am about to personally start rounding up the man-buns and blue-hairs, I'm so sick of this crap.
"liberal democrat,"
...some of my best friends are liberal Democrats...
...the old school variety...
...welcome aboard Patriot...
There's lots of narrow minded, nasty people on both sides who I'm unable to help, and it may be my flaw that I see them as obstacles.
Yep. Couldn't agree more.
"it may be my flaw that I see them as obstacles."
...howl on Patriot...
NJ has had a ban on hollow point ammunition outside the home for ages. This is slightly poor journalism (I think he picked up a poorly written AP report as other sites are reporting it as a new ban)
Not defending NJ, but all that happened was that a lawsuit was filed stating that the ban is unconstitutional...
(There is plenty of stupidity around the ban with liberals talking of banning the "cop killer" ammo, etc though)
"a poorly written AP report as other sites are reporting it as a new ban"
...timing is everything...
