Retarded and completely unwilling to put forth even the tiniest effort to think of something beyond themselves and their tiny little world.

People have become astoundingly selfish and self-focused. They lack even a hint of situational awareness. They also lack empathy, to an disgusting degree.

NPC really is the perfect title for these people.
