Hello GA. My father passed away suddenly last night at home in his sleep. He had been dealing with head and neck pains for weeks, then a week-long migraine that wouldn't go away. He went to the emergency room twice and they never found anything with their testing. You and I know what is surely to blame.
He bounced back this weekend and started getting better then last night he called me for help with splitting pain in his head. I had a really bad feeling in my gut but he refused another ER visit. I took care of him, went home for a couple hours, went back to check on him, and he had passed. It seemed peaceful from what I could tell. No signs of pain or suffering.
Can you please keep KB in your prayers? He was not a deeply religious man but he was kind, had many friends, took care of others and his community, and is sorely missed by all.
Thank you very much GA.
EDIT: I'm deeply grateful for the outpouring of support to a fellow anon from GA. Thank you for your prayers and positive energy. It truly means a lot. The more I spoke with my mother, the more convinced it was a blood clot/aneurysm. He had strange symptoms the hospital didnt catch. I should have had them do a d dimer test on him and got him anti-clotting medication. His headaches didnt go away and my mom said he had other strange symptoms like ringing in ears and his hearing went weird.
I guess this should be a warning: if you know someone with persistent migraines, neck pain, strange audio symptoms, get a d dimer test and or anti clotting medicine or something.
Thank you again for all of your prayers. I hope my experience might help someone save a loved one.
I'm truly sorry for your loss, fren. I'm glad you're father reached out to you and that you came when asked. Degree of religiosity isn't important as long as he loved the Lord. And as a kind and caring man, he must have. God knows everyone's hearts. Prayers for KB and all his loved ones.
You are blessed to have had your father in your life. It sounds like he was a good role model for you and the community.
