Then, the Ukrainians were celebrating that they had 'won' all this territory, and the West used it as proof that the Russians were weak, so SEnd MOAR WeAPons. yeah, not going down THAT road again.
For any kind of ceasefire, or slo-mode to happen, the Ukrainians need to leave the four oblasts that have voted (yes, they really did, in wartime, and there were international monitors) to join Russia, oh, and Kursk was never Ukrainian. Completely. Also, not going to happen, because 'elensky only barely controls the mercs, who are rampaging, and terrorizing civilians. But they will soon be plant-food.
Both Putin and Trump want the people to vote very soon. And really, wartime elections have happened before - it's not rocket-science. They both believe this is legitimate, and I believe the people want that as well. It will be very interesting - it needs to be oblast-by-oblast, and it will inlude questions about not only joining Russia, or remaining 'Ukraine' but also about joining Hungary, Poland and Romania. That has been on Russian minds for a very long time.

This is probably a weird question - bear in mind that I absolutely love President Trump - why is Ukraine still sending strikes into Russia, I mean, the US is supplying the military stuff being used, right? How is Russia supposed to trust anything we say if the US is still involved?
