One thing... in your second paragraph you talk about trillions... both spent and simply missing. That has nothing to do with the employees fired carte blanche. USAID is not the 200K recent employees. The 4.7 trillion without receipts or tracking is not the 200K. The money that has disappeared... not the 200K.
So, yes, I am being sensitive--perhaps on behalf of everyone here--because the solid fed workers who were doing their job are the baby thrown out with the bathwater. Read the room? Everyone just calm down and focus on the other more important things like the evil satanic shit. Firing people tosave some money is good, but not the priority especially when there is so much fraud being uncovered and stopped. So, instead, look at a process over a short period of time such that you can understand your human capital needs and the people that you have.
