Many of these retired Athletes are broke from Gambling. I wonder if this seething anger is a result of that?

People don't realize the virtues of having little discretionary income.
I do, it builds patience, stamina, character, and so many other good things. But yeah, it's because it's a really hard life.
True, I have been on both sides of that coin. Fortunately I was on the very poor side first. Beat up old car that wouldn't go in reverse. Rag diapers for our baby. I learned later on to limit discretionary spending to a certain level of income and save/invest the rest. Never wanted to live like that again, but if I had to I would.
So he's a "punter", which in British slang is something of an insult.
Then I won't ask what the British would say about tight ends.
My first NFL game was the front row on the 55 Yard line. After we had beers with the long snapper. That's a name for a big fish.

It was in New Orleans. Maybe I didn't word it properly, we were not on the Center line but 5 yards down. It was close to perfection but not quite.
