It's certainly interesting that out of the blue, this dog has shown up on so many msm news feeds. Made my ears prick up. End of protection for Barry? Dogs do die of old age, that is not news, but having this good boys picture and obituary pop up everywhere, when there is so much going on in the world may be more than a distraction.
It does look like his time is up. With the news about the falsified certificate of live birth coming out in the news again I could see the walls closing in.
I don't remember this incident, but apparently it took place in September of 2014. If you do a quick search, this story is on multiple platforms today, but I went back to see what was happening at the time. Came across a year in review piece. No mention of it in the timeline at all. The only mention of anything in September is Eric Holder's resignation.

Yep. Mals live a long time for a larger breed. Lack of inbreeding as the breed was largely unknown until 10 years ago. I pray both of mine live to 16.
