As a proud Canadian, all I can say is "bitchbitchbitch". "Ohh, Trump is going to make things more expensive, we need to buy Canadian, which we should have been doing long ago anyway. That'll show him." We wouldn't be in this situation if we (yes, we...as a country) didn't elect a Communist, WEF lapdog for a Prime Minister. It's simple. Tighten up the border, and cut the flow (and while we're at it, how about the production) of Fentynal across the border. Simple. But unfortunately, anything that is contrary to the wishes of our Chinese overlords is "an attack on our sovereignty".

Canada made a bad decision back in the late 1980's when immigration decided to take anyone from Hong Kong willing to pony up $250K and the promise of creating jobs for Canadians.

Exactly! Canada AND US. The drugs flow across north and south border because there are people on all sides who benefit from it, JT included. RCMP, DEA, cops, govt etc. have players involved in the network making loads of money. Same as people who bring guns here from US. Human trafficking as well. It is a shared problem and if we work together we could probably deal with it in short order. China controls ports in BC and in Panama. Drug money laundered through China owned casinos in BC. Our new "fentanyl czar" is former assistant deputy of RCMP. Its a total joke. JT doesn't want it stopped, he's makeing a ton of cash. Mexican president is pushing back on cartel raids as well. Check out Sam Cooper's investigation into all of this if you haven't already. Very interesting and comprehensive investigation. Unless we deal with the network on all sides of the border it will be difficult to deal with the problem.

Don’t believe it for a second, every year I see lots of travel campers from Canada on I95 and I81 heading south or north depending on the season. Southern states, especially Florida weather is certainly preferable during those cold months.
I don't think it will affect travel there all that much. But the push for Canadian pride is a nice relief from JT telling us we should all be ashamed of ourselves for the past 10 years. I don't think it's a bad thing that we should make an effort to become more independent and increase our capacity to manufacture and produce what we need here. Same as you are doing down there.

Donald Trump has done more for Canadian Nationalism than any recent Prime Minister. I watched the game last Thursday and the place was packed to the rafters. People were friendly and talkative to one another. Something that is not done usually in Ottawa.
