For these past decades, my family has faithfully paid our income taxes, property taxes, school taxes, utility taxes, vehicle taxes and sales taxes. We didn't complain, and paid what we owed fairly.
Now we find out that politicians were stealing that money, giving it to corrupt organizations, funneling money to terrorists or just plain wasting the money.
I DON'T WANT A REFUND. I DON'T WANT MY MONEY BACK.
I want every son-of-a-bitch who stole that money to enrich themselves prosecuted.

I think that's part of the point, though. For patriots, it's not about the money; it's about our principles. Our autonomy as a republic of states was subverted for decades and we want THAT back.

No, it’s most definitely also about the money. Must be nice to be able to say something like that, but as someone who has lived hand to mouth their entire lives while being blindly stolen from… It’s about the fucking money, and I want mine back!!
I agree. 63 years old and my life would have been much easier if I hadn’t been stolen from for almost 50 of those years. My kids lives would be different because I could have provided better for them. This $5k is an insult!
