Two billionaires schmoozing. Nothing to see here. About the only thing Bezos would want from Trump is certain trade barriers lifted so he can make more money. Trump might do it if it benefits America and not just a greedy Billionaire.
Amazon (Bezos) will be hit hard by tariffs - he is in a great position and would be very smart to offer to back people to produce Made in America products that are now being exported by China.
It is Amazon and Walmart's business models that destroyed the American middle class, forced many thousands of mom & pop employers out of business.
Agree but now he has a chance to do the right thing and fund American small businesses and I hope he does.
Of course I do not like what ended up happening to our businesses because of Amazon but I have to partly blame myself and people like me - busy working and it was easy and cheaper to order from Amazon and by the time I woke up and changed my ways, mom and pop's were gone. Now even my grandkids call Amazon "evil China."
In some more rural areas, before Walmart got here there were not enough jobs. They put in a Walmart and a distribution center. Bam jobs exploded and wages went up. Our Walmart was not caught up in all that weird stuff, and is jam packed with Patriot employees. They did not make me wear a mask when I told them at the door I couldn't. I had had a bad meltdown in line, ended up sitting on the floor crying and thinking I was going to die. A Dr. happened to be in line and came and took my mask off and told me very loudly "You absolutely cannot wear a mask; you are who we are trying to protect. And yes I am a Dr.." Walmart had my back a couple times before they started delivery service. What if all that super fishy Walmart stuff was cleaning out tunnels, it would have been too early for the public to know, and I don't think the elite tunnel builders would question others doing it. I bet in time we will find out what that was all about.
I don't think your good Walmart experience outweighs the thousands upon thousands of jobs lost in retail as the mom & pop businesses failed or the thousands of jobs in manufacturing jobs as the factories closed and re-open in their world shitholes so that Walmart could imported cheap foreign goods from around the world.
In most cases the public loved when Walmart came in and I did not see the unemployment rate rise but went down. They provide Jobs not cut them The pandemic is what shut down small business and they are very slowly recovering. I am hoping many will start to open their own businesses when regulations are cut. The Govt, not Walmart or Amazon caused those business to close. That and raising the minimum raise over and over finished off many struggling to survive. I think it is now $17 an hour for fast food, because the state needs more taxes and the state thinks you should be able to make a good living from these entry level jobs. Walmart did not want to have to buy overseas but they would have had tiny stores because there is not much made in America. The deep state is in the business of selling out to China and getting rid of jobs in the US.
Bringing back manufacturing to America would be great for both companies. Remember when Walmart cheered made in America, until they couldn't do it anymore without going out of business. Amazon wanted to build that place in NY and AOC got rid of him. He had no problem find places but he thought there would be a great job pool. A lot of the Amazon hits you see are from the left. And you can even get Human grade Fen Ben 222, delivered and Quercetin too, and just had a massive sale on livestock Fen Ben with a link on a ytube video.
