I don't comment on your posts often, purrkiss, but I always read and upvote.
I feel so bad for you and your countrymen - nothing worse than watching the intentional destruction of a well-ordered nation.
As an American, I know the feeling. You have it worse though, and I wish you nothing but the best. I hope our favorite president can do something about this.
"Keimoes. Blocuso trust, state gave them the land, state of the art irrigation system, complete vineyards, gave tractors, trucks, high end equipment, mentorships even finance for wages. The main recipients of this projects lined their pockets and led lavish lifestyles.
Failed to pay Eskom bills and pumps cut off. Everything died. Gone. Destroyed. The problem with land reform is the government doesnβt understand farming and think that if you were a worker on a farm you can be a farmer. Itβs like making an assisting nurse in surgery the surgeon. Being a real farmer is a high knowledge skill.
You must understand weather, agriculture, risk, finances, have good relationships with the banks financing you and be networked with other farmers. How on earth being a farmer is not its own university degree like any other high skilled professional boggles the mind."
This story is repeated with every farm that ANC/Blacks take over right? Does not even have to be a farm, every square inch of land they occupy turns to shit.
I wish I could find that video I saw once where all the people are trying to get the trucks through the African mud, and as one truck just starts to clear the hole and African black dude yells out, "Come back white man, and build us some more roads!"

Not to mention the 24/7 365 commitment to the land. It's not a job. It's a life. And there's nothing easy about it.
