I've seen that too. Our church used to run cold-weather shelters in winter. Many of the 'guests' filled their plates with food and then throw half in the trash.

They will literally wipe the place clean of food, eat half of it and leave. The rest gets tossed and others go hungry.

I've seen it myself in person and had to bite my tongue. The hate is well-earned.
