Is it true that quercetin does the same thing, at what dose? Does fenben need the zinc or quercetin as well? I am starting fenben now (previous long term familiarity with ivermectin ...wonderful stuff... but I have not seen reference to zinc or quercetin and fenben. Thank you everyone

It was my understanding that Ivermectin is a stand alone drug and that HCQ & Quercetin both need the Zinc supplement to work. Not a doctor.
Zinc interferes with the replication of certain respiratory viruses, but it has to get into the cell in order to do this, and it cannot get into most cells on its own. It needs a zinc ionophore to 'open the door' through the cell membrane for it so that it can enter the cell. There are over a hundred known zinc ionophores, including quercetin, hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), and black cumin seed oil. Someone posted a massive list of zinc ionophores here on GAW a couple of years ago, you should be able to search and find it.
You should take 50 mg of zinc daily, but take it with a zinc ionophore or the zinc is worthless.
From what I've read, neither ivermectin or fenbendazole require ionophores to enter cells. Ivermectin seems to target as many as 10+ different metabolic pathways in cancer cells in ways that are harmful to the cancer cells, and fenbendazole seems to target and disrupt the microtubules that provide structure and support to many types of cancer cells.
I am not a doctor either.
