I live on the Kenai Peninsula, south of Anchorage. We have had an extremely warm winter with almost no snow. That means the water that would normally be available next summer to keep the fire danger down is non-existent. We're expecting high fire danger this summer as a result.
2018 (or around that time) was bad as well for you guys - hope you weren’t too close. Although I do understand not cleaning fuel from the forest floor, Anchorage definitely needs to do better in such a high density area.
I saw a list of towns that are earmarked for smart cities. I don't still have the list, though. I wonder if WEF made the list for US cities to destroy and rebuild.

Dire. Spruce is a conifer, and dry conifers qualify as pure kindling.
