I started watching this yesterday after having not seen it in many years. It's pretty entertaining if you haven't seen it. What struck me is this line by the lead character, talking about a corporation that wants to control everything: "President Business is going to end the world? But he’s such a good guy! And Octan, they make good stuff: music, dairy products, coffee, TV shows, surveillance systems, all history books, voting machines… wait a minute!"
I'm sure there other good lines like this, but this stuck out for me, particularly the mention of voting machines! Like most animated movies, the dialogue is not for kids :)
“Everything is awesome. Everything is cool when you’re part of a team.”
Mass pacification and Communist ideologies all in one tagline. Screams 1984.
LoL. Yea I’ve seen it many times. So many shows mock the “situations” were in. I mean anywhere in America you could walk into a crowd and say “man I trust the government. Wholeheartedly! For decades our government has been THE most trustful agencies and people I could ever imagine.” And then wait for responses of laughter. Everyone knows. And, as a whole, we’ve all accepted this as a way of life. Referring to normies here. The deepstate knows. We’re helpless. That’s why shows and moves poke fun. No one gets mad anymore, they laugh. It’s hilarious. Until it’s not. Then it’s in your schools, your job. Then your home. Then it isn’t so funny anymore. But by then it’s to late. As I said, this is “normal” thinking. People have awakened, no doubt. Just needed a leader. We got it. Hopefully things get fixed. My question is, for how long? If it goes the way we’ve all talked about, should go 100 years easy. But we’ll have to make some massive gains in the next 1.5 years. Before midterms. Otherwise, sheesh. Could get messy.
