Well, that's kind of my point. I'm not saying that they operate under any sort of DEI guidelines.
I'm pointing out to people who are criticizing DEI that Elon would be the one benefiting from it. Not the blacks. Because he would be the minority there.
The DEI laws in South Africa are against Whites (and Indians and Coloureds, a group that includes many small communities some of which are of mixed races).
Read these 143 race based laws very carefully. More are in the pipeline.
I'm assuming you know the definitions of those words.
So Elon, as a white person in South Africa, is in the minority.
Thus, under DEI (if it existed in South Africa as it does in the US, which it does not), he would be given special consideration and gain access to services, jobs, whatever, whereas, if he were in the black majority, he wouldn't have.
You realize that all countries don't have DEI initiatives like the US does, right?
I think people are just taking any sort of legislation concerning race and slapping the title of "DEI" on it. Which is just incorrect.
In South Africa, Elon would be the one operating under a DEI status...
Except that in SA, there is no "inclusion" for Whites.

What do you think "DEI" stands for, exactly?
It stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
