I live in Missouri. Around here you NEVER hear of this law case. I know the AG brought this case just a few weeks ago and now he's won the case. I wonder if the Chinese even were present in the courtroom to defend themselves. Also I seriously doubt the Chinese have $24B in assets within the boundries of Missouri. Probably more like a few hundred millions of dollars of land. So, what is Bailey gonna do to get the rest of the money? Probably nothing, he'll be satisfied with a judgement against China and run for Governor on that.
Chinese nationals and companies no longer being able to use our farmland to spy on military bases is a big enough win. Returning it to agricultural use is icing on the cake.
And you have an issue with that? LOL When you step back and think about it, this was a brilliant move!! Missouri regains all the lost farmland and takes control of Chinese business assets located in your state which will be integrated back into the economy under new ownership. New farmers, new business owners, monetary reserves from siezed banking accounts, etc. The only concern I can see is vetting and making sure the new owners are not front operations for the Chinese. Well done AG Bailey!!! MMGA!!!
Perfect fit! They bring their farming techniques of not using heavy pesticides, chemicals, etc. (Can we say bye-bye NWO Monsanto?) and integrate into the local communities. It's a win-win!

Do the assets have to reside in MO? Why would he be limited to assets only in Missouri?

I say put South Africans who need to leave their country on that land to begin producing crops.
