If you look back through out history at revolutions and coups. You will see one of the first things they try to control is the media. They take over radio and tv stations immediately.
Trump and the whitehats could not do that directly, although it would have sped up the process. If they had the sheeple would have revolted as that same corrupt media egged them on.

That hand on the chin thing seems out of character for her. I briefly looked at other instances where she is in a pool of reporters and didn't see her putting her hands to her face.
