Could Trump issue an executive order across all states making vaccination optional for all K-12 and college students?
If the people are so concerned that vaccinations work, then why do they want EVERYONE to get them? Let the people who want to risk getting some illness because they don't want to get some vaccination do it! I got into an argument with some medical doctor during covid and said, "Since covid is only a risk to the elderly and people with compromised immune systems, why not just have them get the covid shots?" She said, "That's not how pandemics work!" (or some such garbage)

Managing odds is the same BS reason they use to justify speeding tickets, currently.
There is something to be said for people in an area being able to limit behaviors in their areas, but doing it by a federally pushed speed limit/speed trap method of confiscating real property based on increased odds is a poor method.
IMHO, if speed limits should be a thing, cars should require a speed governor in order to be on public roads, and whoever has property right by the roads, in combination with who pays for the road construction and maintenance, should get to set the limiter for their area.
This has been something we probably could have done since the 80’s or 90’s, but those speed traps are just such nice revenue streams..
One thing we probably need to teach people is how to split up thinking about things in terms of goals, strategy, and tactics.
With conflicting goals, compromise has to be found if it can be, but otherwise there is just conflict.
With strategy and tactics, there is no need to find compromise, but people need to understand that they don’t necessarily lose just because their tactic isn’t adopted.
Last week I was grilled about the covid vax by a medical practitioner.
