I'm sure there was plenty of shredding going on between the time they were refused entry and the time DOGE gained entry.
Nothing ever completely disappears from a hard drive.
This is true, unless a multipass forensic wipe is done but a proper one would take days to complete.
I'm sure there are plenty of hard copy forms that never get scanned or input into a computer system, knowing how govt works.
A .45 into the platters for a spinning drive will do.
but if you want to be really thorough, put the drive in an oven at 230degC for half an hour to take the magnetic platters above their Curie point. Instant death for anything magnetic.
And put any SSD type into a shredder or wood chipper.
