I have had poor eyesight since birth, tried to make me write some weird upside-down way. Left-handers often have spacing issues because their hand is covering what they just wrote... I hated English and writing anything...
Yes that is true, the way the left hand covers up the writing. And people always hand me to sign something as though I was going to sign it with my right hand.
Profusion of superfluous words. Ambidextrous means to be able to use both hands equally well. My father was nearly ambidextrous. My kid brother is left-handed. I was able to write legibly left-handed in several weeks of practice. I use my mouse left-handed, for comfort. Many kinds of musical instruments involve both hands to play. It is a continuing issue for those who make "handed" products (like firearms, or clothing).
A potentially more serious problem is dyslexia, the inability to sort out left from right in one's vision. (E.g., inability to distinguish "b" from "d". Or "E" from "3".) It's more complicated than that, however, and can be a serious disability, far too often misunderstood as being mental slowness. But treatable through behavioral therapy.
Of course not. My kid brother is left-handed. He's such a good guy that the neighbor's cat abandoned his owners to live with my brother. My brother had done nothing to encourage this and apologized profusely to the owners. The cat simply wouldn't have been refused.
Plenty of people of accomplishment are left-handed. Many actors: Rock Hudson, Bruce Willis, Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Hugh Jackman, Dennis Quaid. Not to mention Leonardo DaVinci.
A friend of mine told me the teacher would take his pencil & put it in his right hand.
yes, my uncle wrote with his right hand for this exact reason -- but did everything else left handed.

Why is this being studied and who is funding it??
Writing left-handed is NOT a sign of homosexual orientation. SHEESH! Another sinister association??

Left handedness is an older trait than right handedness, from what I've read.
also a sign of genius, from what I read ; )
Think again. Obama is left-handed.
He is sinister! But not all left handed writers are.

I agree.
My right hand identifies as my left hand all the time...
