So I noticed something strange about the flight suits. They seem to have left in blue ones. https://a57.foxnews.com/static.foxnews.com/foxnews.com/content/uploads/2024/07/720/405/nasa-starliner-june-5-nasa-live-astronauts.jpg?ve=1&tl=1
But they came back in white ones? https://media.breitbart.com/media/2025/03/Rescued-Astronaut-640x480.jpeg
The boots also look big on the return trip. Something seems off.
got a pic? were they the same suits?
I think they can have spare suits.
They are custome made, so did they take an extra pair? This is what I wonder. It costs like 100k per ounce to take things to space.
They launched on an experimental capsule made by Boeing on a test flight to certify it for human flight. It had a ton of problems on the first unmanned flight that didn’t even reach the ISS. The second test didn’t go so well either but the best plan of action was to prove it was healthy enough and eventually dock with the ISS. Unable to make repairs and isolate the leaks the ship returned without the crew onboard. SpaceX had to make new flight suits for the two astronauts to be able to connect to SpaceX’s Dragon capsule. Nothing fishy at all. Crew9 left earth with two astronauts on board and returned with 4 because of the rescued astronauts. Now whatever happened to Boeings Starliner capsule is unknown but for now it’s not crew certified and would have to complete more test flights to prove safe for human flight. I’m pretty sure the Russians offered a plan to get them back but was declined prob due to politics also because you know Russia bad.

I couldn’t post the screenshot I took but if you go to 32.34 in the video you will see them in their white suits for launch. When they walk to the area where they put on the white flight suit they wear either orange or blue jumpsuit type cloths. I don’t know if they wear the jumpsuit under the white suit. On the ISS, I have seen American astronauts wear the blue suits and sometimes others have regular clothes on. Not sure what their regimen is. My father worked as a rocket engineer in support of NASA for over 30 years, I believe the white suit is made for optimal comfort and protection from possible negative scenarios. For instance, for comfort the area of the legs have a sort of accordion pleats around the knee so fabric doesn’t bunch up behind the knee.
those do NOT look like the same people.
Well one thing I know they are built for is depressurization. The blue suits have conections for that but the white ones do not as I can tell.
