The point I'm making is that the DOD used to be called the Dept of War prior to like the 1900s. Could this be a signal for the restoration of the republic? Just a thought but I find it an interesting choice of words

Up through World War II, we had the Department of War (Army) and the Department of the Navy. Then we got airplanes and the Army Air Corps. It was just organizationally simpler to gather everyone into a Department of Defense, and include new services as necessary (Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force). I suspect Trump is an old-timer at heart.
