D. Vance, his wife and the rest of the American delegation have decided to drop plans in Nuuk and Sisimiut, and instead choose to travel to Pituffik Space Base on Friday. This is confirmed by the director and editor-in-chief of Sermitsiaq, Masaana Egede: - I think it is good for the USA, if they want future cooperation, that they choose to go to Pituffik Space Base, because after all we know what it is and understand the function of the base. And that they choose not to go to Nuuk during a coalition negotiation, and choose not to go to Sisimiut for such a proud race, I think, is a relief for a lot of people, says Masaana Egede. Although changes to the travel plans may seem more harmless and less invasive, one should still keep in mind that the USA's interest in Greenland has not diminished: - Despite the fact that it seems positive, we must be very clear that this is still a very clear signal to Denmark, Greenland and NATO that they still want Greenland, says Masaana Egede.
