Imtiaz Mahmood: "Let me tell you why a Muslim would drive his car into a crowd of innocent people. I was raised Muslim, and I know exactly why this happens. It’s not poverty. It’s not oppression. It’s not even radicalization. It’s the logical outcome of Islamic doctrine itself.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Muslim or not; we, as human beings, carry guilt deep inside us. We know we are not good enough and spend our lives trying to redeem ourselves through good deeds, thinking it will make the guilt disappear.
Christianity, for example, offers a way out of guilt, a solution not based on your works but on Christ’s. Salvation isn’t earned; it’s given. You accept that you can’t redeem yourself because Christ did everything on your behalf. That means you’re free. Free to live, free to build, free to serve, free to love.
When Christians feel lost, broken, and needing forgiveness, they can go to church, talk to a pastor or priest, and leave knowing they have been forgiven.
Islam, on the other hand, doesn’t offer redemption; it weaponizes guilt. Instead of providing salvation, Allah exposes you, holds your sins over your head, and threatens you with hellfire and torture in the grave.
The Quran isn’t a book of peace; it’s a book of threats. It bullies Muslims into obedience through fear, humiliation, and punishment.
So, what happens when a Muslim seeks redemption? They try to be better Muslims. They pray, fast, give to charity, go on Hajj, and do everything Allah commands. But it never works. I know. I did it.
And no matter how much you pray, no matter how much you try, the guilt never goes away. Because deep down, every Muslim knows it’s not enough. Allah always demands more.
Allah loves those who die fighting against the infidels. That’s not an opinion, it’s in the Quran, Hadith, and every lesson taught to children.
This is why Muslims, even the so-called "moderates," always hesitate to condemn terrorism. Because they know Allah requires jihad. They might not be willing to commit it themselves, but they cannot say it’s wrong.
So when a Muslim fails to reach peace through religious rituals, they have two choices:
Give up, stop being devout, and learn to live with the guilt, or commit to jihad because that’s the only way to be true to yourself.
The Quran spells it out clearly: “Kill those who do not worship Allah or obey the Prophet” (9:29).
So when a Muslim embraces this identity fully, killing infidels isn’t just justified; it’s joyful. It’s an act of:
✔ Saving yourself ✔ Obeying Allah ✔ Securing your eternity ✔ Finally escaping the crushing weight of guilt
This is why a Muslim can drive his car into a crowd of innocent people and feel nothing but satisfaction. Because for the first time in his life, he finally believes he has done something worthy of redemption."
Let me tell you why a liberal would torch the Tesla of innocent people. It’s not oppression. It’s not even radicalization. It’s the logical outcome of liberalism itself. It doesn’t matter who you are, we, as human beings, carry guilt deep inside us. We know we are not good enough and spend our lives trying to redeem ourselves through deeds, thinking it will make the guilt disappear.

Interesting analogy and explanation, and quite possibly true in essence. But I think there may be an additional factor involved, and it boils down to this. There are two types of people (and cultures) in the world.
There are high-IQ creators who can conceptualize a new idea or invention, make it come into being, and give the world something of value. Think across the span of history of people like Edison, Musk, Gutenberg, Shakespeare, et al. These and people like them are the creators.
Then there are people who, through low-IQ or laziness or outright stupidity, who cannot create anything of value, so they instead become destroyers of anything new or novel, anything beautiful, preferring the world to conform to the ugliness and chaos of their own lives.
The last thing Islamic 'culture' created was the ancient concept of zero (0) in mathematics... and that's where they stopped. Islam today has some of the best minds the 3rd Century AD ever created.
I would submit, also, that there are two types of people in the world:
Normal human beings with empathy and conscience. Whether high or low IQ, they all value love, building, and creating on whatever level they are capable of. They are the ones who value civilization and (actual) equal opportunity.
Sociopaths with no empathy and no conscience. They value power, control, food, and sex. They honestly believe that the strong have every right to rule over the weak and to use others people any way they choose. They are the ones who end up running everything because they are so ruthless. They are why the world largely sucks, because the normals don't recognize them for what they are and they just keep right on going.
Sociopaths are notoriously uncreative. That's because all art is just emotion given form; and when your only emotions come from cruelty and a determination to control others, you end up with sick and twisted art or no art at all. But, no worries; they just force the normals to build and create for them.
You will see this in every place in the world and at every time period in history. The time and place we're in now is no different in that the sociopaths, once again, are trying their best to control everything and use the normals solely for labor and taxes.
No, your thesis is incorrect, and very elitist, as if those with lower IQ do not have the same exact conscience as the "creatives". More elititsm. Everyone is creative in many ways, from the way they arrange themselves, their homes, their garden and how they raise their children and in myriad other ways. Yes, some people have talents and greater gifts of intellect, but this fact does not divide the world population in two. We are all the same, but God's gifts are not spread across the people equally. That would have made for a boring world. This is another reason why communism can never work: people are never all equal in anything except, perhaps, their God-given rights. This reminds me of the earliest attempts, when I was in school, to create "team projects". How I hated that! Some would be doing all the creative work, and in fact, most of all the work, and the others would follow along, contributing little. Then, all would receive the same grade. It seemed so unfair to me then, and NOW. Let each do their own work and be judged. No piggy-backing off the work of others!!
I hear your argument, and admit that once I sort of held the same opinion. I outgrew it, though. But your post above appears to refute your own thesis, saying that people are not equal in gifts... take that to its logical extreme, there are those with no 'gifts' at all except for the propensity to break, tear down, and destroy the creations of others.
Our prisons, mental hospitals, and our own government is full of people who cannot create, but only destroy. That much is obvious to me.
I agree. I also used to think that everyone was the same - but we are not all the same. Please see my other post on this thread about the two different kinds of humans in the world.
Who told you life was fair ?
The one doing most of the work will always be doing it where ever they go. So they are just getting stronger and use to it.
Groups ,committees & meetings are about finding someone with an idea , solution, answer or idea that the rest will get behind.
