I saw an old friend in wokeville, recently. We sat in a bar, talked & had food & drink, discussing many topics. There were a number of national issues mentioned where he admitted that Trump is doing the right thing but he would always punctuate it with 'but I still hate the guy' to the bar neighbor that somehow joined in. When the bill came I quickly grabbed it & paid it with a single large bill. Are you OK with that my friend asked? In reply, I reminded him about the bet we made on the 2020 election & that I still intended to settle up in 8/2025, if it's not clear by then. (The bet was only for about what I had just paid for his food & drinks.) On that he filled in the bar neighbor with the details. (We made a bet about the election & afterwards he didn't quite get it at first when I told him I don't think Trump lost. In time, though, he seemed to feel hurt, like that I didn't honor the bet so at some point I must have told him that if it's not obvious in N years then I will pay & that day will be in August 2025)

After all that the bar neighbor told me "You played that well"

How are your bets on that going? Even though they are a bit woketarded, I still think it's important to honor the friendship from the way they see it, if it's only money.
