In the very end, it only "helps" people who don't own a personal vehicle.
And taxes poor people more who need to commute further. Though idk how many people need to commute that far in MS when the state is not that populated.
It might be a loonnng drive to Walmart. Around me, people think nothing of driving two hours to get to shopping.
