Zelenskyy is not negotiating for peace; he's buying time against what Trump wants to do.
He's buying time for the EU/UK and corrupt NATO interests to organize a separate funding mechanism for continuation of war. The UK/France have promised to provide the intel service. The EU/UK now need to organize the funding mechanisms. They are doing it currently.
A belligerent Volodymyr Zelensky, who will not accept any terms for negotiated peace (so far), continues playing the victim and saying Russia is violating terms needed for peace. NATO and the EU alliance continue telling Zelensky to keep fighting; Zelensky rejects anything that stops the fighting; NATO and the EU alliance continue demanding that President Trump support Zelensky. That’s the current cycle.
Putin knows the game, that's why he is keeping up the offensive action.
At some point in this great game of 'ceasefire' pretense, President Trump is going to be pushed beyond the line of NOTHING POLITICALLY left to lose.
When President Trump hits his line … He’ll cut the chord with the Ukraine …. then Russia will own significant parts of the Ukraine, and the fragmenting EU will be staring at an unhappy Bear without US Support and a US President without any bad feelings over the EU’s demise.
There are plenty of ways to President Trump to execute a withdrawal from Europe without “leaving NATO”, both economically and militarily.
Drawdown troops. Close bases. Withdraw ALL the augmentation troops, planes and ships sent to NATO in 2022 by Biden. No support for new base (Romania).
Close POMCUS Sites. Withdraw ALL Nukes sent to the UK by Biden, in violation of the 1990’s Force Draw Down agreements. No money to UN executive agencies … WHO, WTO, UNICEF, World Bank, et al. Increase the Tariff pressure. Punish EU for upending democratically conducted elections (Romania, Moldova, Georgia), in regional and member states.
Cut the gordian knot. It is time to stop pretending.
