No, they were Germans. You apparently don't realize that Party membership was mandatory even to find employment. That is the nature of a totalitarian government. The Soviet Union was the same way, re Communist Party membership. You would still need to prove them a liar.

I realize you meant the quip in jest. Unfortunately, I have read far too much about Hitler, the Nazi Party, and the Third Reich to find any humor in it.
