They have not lost their unending thirst for war. Perhaps they didnt love this or that iteration best. But lord knows we are a warlike people that pay the fuck out of taxes to help pay for the biggest military budget in the world. Everyone knows that every penny spent partially goes to buy a bomb for a child in another country. They teach it in public schools. They teach it in movies. They celebrate the culture and even when they wanna feel like they are above it and smarter than the zeitgeist, they only know how to violently defy. War, son. Wake up.
Maybe I haven't been around it enough. My Step Father was a Marine and he is anti-War large. Interesting story, when he signed up, he read all the small print. It said if you choose where you want to go, it's 4 years. If we decide, its 3 years. So he let them decide. His Aircraft Carrier took them to Vietnam they were about to go into combat and his 3 years ended and he was done. Two of his friends, didn't read the small print and they still had 1 more year and they were both killed in Vietnam.
