The longest filibuster on record was a 1957 speech by then-Democratic Sen. Strom Thurmond of South Carolina — in opposition to the Civil Rights Act — that lasted for 24 hours and 18 minutes.
He beat the record. He made it to twenty-five hours, beating the previous record holder, a democrat, Storm Thurmond, who voted against the Civil Rights Act.
Don't shoot me; I just saw this show up as one of those pop-up "news" blurbs. You can't get much more nauseating than combing Cory Booker with NPR :)
It's hard to say who likes TV cameras more, Booker or Schumer.
I would think that about three minutes of listening to him would be enough to induce vomiting.
Ted Cruz with the jokes https://x.com/tedcruz/status/1907151248198971694
I can picture him now with his frozen smile laughing without any movement. Have any of you seen Ted Cruz laugh?
I hope he beats the record. KEK!

I just checked, and he did!
He must know that there’s an indictment or two or a thousand with his name on it.
I thought democrats wanted to be rid of the filibuster...
I like the actual filibuster. Let the mealy mouth Senators pledge their “honor” and their bladders to make their points.
