Can anyone explain this? Is it a new kind of credit card? Is it simply a status symbol? Does it get me into movies free? Is it a lifetime pass for grocery purchases? A new frequent flyer card? Unlimited gasoline credit card, good at any gas station? Good at any ATM? Or is this the special work visa card? If presented to ICE, it is a Get Out Of Jail Free card? It gets more interesting as my tired mind tries to catch up with the dots.
The "U.S. Gold Card," a proposed immigration program by Donald Trump, would grant U.S. residency to wealthy foreigners who invest $5 million in the United States, potentially bypassing the existing EB-5 visa program.
Here's a breakdown of the proposed "Gold Card" program:
Key Features:
Investment Requirement: Applicants would need to invest a minimum of $5 million in the United States.
Path to Residency: Successful applicants would gain a path to lawful permanent residence (LPR) or a "green card".
No Job Creation Requirement: Unlike the current EB-5 program, the "Gold Card" program does not require applicants to create jobs.
Potential for Citizenship: The program could also provide a pathway to U.S. citizenship.
Target Group: Trump has suggested that the program is intended for wealthy foreigners, including Russian oligarchs.
This is the kind of guy that makes me want to facepalm and then want to kick the guy in the nuts. Why?
He rails against the industry for not including a placebo group in the trials. Then he proceeds to point out various rare, but serious side effects. He then says the drug caused the side effects... after lecturing his audience about quality of evidence and scientific method.
No, doctor. You can't make that statement. You can't distinguish the rate of those events from those inherent as a background in the general population. He has no idea whether the drug caused these safety signals because as he so eloquently and emphatically pointed out, there is no placebo group to compare it to.
Until a properly designed study is done, he's not doing anything better than what Fauci did. He's making unfounded medical claims about a product for a political purpose.

I don't get it. Why would he buy the first one? That makes no sense.
Because the card is awesome and he has the money to contribute to American prosperity, is my guess.
Because it's a comm.
It is for Melania
