It's solid state and last aboitn75 years in that application. Was told you could build them bigger or smaller. Bury them in control Crete and power a couple hundred times for 50 years on one battery. This was ten years ago I saw this.

I don't think the ISS has RTGs on board. Maybe you're talking about the Mars rovers ?
