So, all these companies shifted their production to countries with no labour or environmental standards so they can make extra profits which increased their share prices and benefited a small group of wealthy people at the top at the expense of everyone else. Now Trump is taxing away those extra profits. They are not going to raise their prices and lose market share to local competition that would immediately spring up. They are going to trade their profitability short term to maintain their market share while they desperately shift their production back to the US. This nonsense about higher prices for consumers is total bullshit.
