Tariffs alone are not going make the US a producer of competitive goods!
Our infrastructure is crumbling and needs to updated.
Too many of us want to make money without working hard.
What do we make? Brand name goods made elsewhere, Software (deliberately insecure for NSA), Boeing planes that now don't have a good reputation. The only good example I can think of is Tesla vehicles.
Let's build cool cars and trucks again. Next gen designs like the 50''s through 70's. Everything looks the same. Crossovers everywhere. It seems like the car manufacturers were given one template to work with.
My boyfriend bought an old crown vic police car and putting the cab of a 71 Ford on the vic frame. It should be finished by labor day. So cool.
I just wanted to comment on all the cars looking the same- this is something we've noticed, too! And it seems like they're mostly white, black, or gray. Kiind of depressing, imo.
Or the 30’s where even the mufflers and engines were a work of art.
With government meddling you have brutalism, without it you have beauty.
That car sounds fun!
I'm imagining it now. (Hoping his next one will do the same to a jacked-up El Camino or Ford Ranchero.)
