Trump has spiked the WTO in his first term, to prevent losing sovereign maneuver space. It seems that the port costs on top of the tariffs are causing such ravage ... I wonder how much time it will take for the Chinese People to take to the street, and stage a Tienanmen times a million.
After all, civil unrest is the CCP worst nightmare. Interesting how all the responses from the CCP eventually can lead down this path ....

I cannot proof it, but something is off. What reason would a regime have to purposefully procure being cornered, and inciting the worst nightmare?
Leaving the value of human life aside, as the CCP has no regard for that, what is left?
What if they wanted a shooting war, miscalculate and unleash their worst nightmare: Tianamen times a million? It would be the end of the CCP, would it not?
In a reunification: who absorbs who is a matter of perspective. I find it highly interesting the CCP is always harping on their: "legitimate" interest. As if they crave recognition. I would say: it is, given their nightmares .....
So, yeah, maybe there are those who would, in the name of legitimate interest, bomb the shit out of something ....but i tend to think that the people have a far greater interest not to see their princelings in a body bag.
If they would, the question becomes, will Russia back them up? I do not think so, because of the boon of US rapprochement. On the other, they have Siberia totally open .... and a Chinese civic incursion is already on the way north of the Amur .... (As the Chinese have done in Tibet, Manchuria and other places)
