Mathew 27:52-53 (KJV) - 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Wednesday is the only day which fits Jesus Sign of Jonah statement. 3 days and 3 nights in the grave. And since it was Wednesday then as Jesus and disciples arrived 6 days before passover then there could not have been a Palm Sunday.
