I cannot wait!! I don't think some grasp on what's coming down the pipeline, MUCH BIGGER than basic upgrades, the article drops crumbs:
Sure sounds like hidden tech is going to be released during the year long America250 celebration. We will go from past "huge leaps" to new Quantum Leaps.
I don't want to quote out this entire article, but if you read closely, you will see connections/narrative seeding of what's to come:

About half down the article the full paragraph is this.
This could just be a metaphorical reference referring to the fact Modern Transport lets us cover distance faster. But it’s still a bit of an odd turn of phrase.
Yes, a metaphor is what it is. And it is not at all an "odd" turn of phrase, when the whole march of aviation was noted for "shrinking" the world and reducing the travel times between continents. Not to mention phone calls halfway around the world.
Time machines exist?
No. There is no place to travel to. The past is over with and the future is yet to happen.
Kratsios was not talking about divine visions or experiences.
Possibly. Though there are multiple theorized methods of FTL that would technically qualify as bending Space and Time.
The "time and space" remark was a metaphor, as in high-speed flight reducing time and distance for travel.
Don't look for "Tesla technology" or other techno-magic. Maybe faster adoption or expansion of what we have.
We're able to manipulate time and space, WHOA! Wow.. so Men in Black is real then..and teleportation!
I witnessed something really weird while in college and now it's starting to make sense
