On the books for more than a hundred years, but now its a problem based on a ruling by a group of compromised overrated lawyers in a black dress.
This upcoming Trump response should be pretty epic.
Doesn’t it seem like the Trump Administration is executing a set of carefully planned deportations to provoke these court cases?
They grab Khalil at Columbia and the DS rushes to his defense. Then we learn he was an asset for the British at some point, possibly still could be. Plus, the Administration invokes a law that uses foreign policy goals as a standard for determining a person must be deported.
They grab Garcia and the lefties rush to his defense, characterizing him as a “Maryland Man,” who needs to be returned. Then the Trump Administration releases the receipts that he is a known member of MS13. Here, again, the Administration invokes the Alien Enemies Act as the basis for these deportations.
Somewhere during these cases President Trump makes a statement to the effect he has no respect for the lower courts, but he would respect a ruling by the Supreme Court.
This is frustrating, but it seems like another case of having to do things by the book. And, through extensive war gaming, President Trump’s core team believes SCOTUS will have to rule in favor of the Executive Branch. POTUS saying he would respect SCOTUS decisions is a trap of sorts to use against the DS when they try to delegitimize favorable rulings.
What we’re seeing now is the groundwork for mass deportations that can proceed unabated by lower court interference. The Administration is getting the ducks in a row to provoke a SCOTUS ruling that clarifies Immigration Enforcement and the adjudication of immigration status is solely the purview of the Executive Branch.
It’s also interesting the “by the book” post was a delta this week.

It seems like that's what they're doing. They didn't have to use the Alien Enemies Act, but chose to knowing it would be challenged.
With the Garcia case, the Trump Administration surely knew the democrats would find a case to create a sob story narrative with the media. I think they baited them into picking this one.
SPOT ON !
