What actual deterrent do they face?
Their supporters pay their legal fees and paint them in the media as a hero.
He’ll receive praise from dems everywhere for breaking the law.
Prosecution just needs a felony conviction - not even time served or fines, just that felony record. Then the Democrat party loses another voter (at least, a legal actual voter... their vote results aren't exactly limited to just actual legal voters)
Minnesota is mostly red it was only because of the cities that they are even blue. They couldn't even in Tim Walz's own county. If it wasn't for Obama importing all those Somales into MN back when he was in office I doubt they'd be blue at all.

Agreed it's really evident when you look at the breakdown of the vote by county.
