The only thing about that movie that bothered me, plot wise, was when the planes flew over spraying whatever it was, the soldiers IMMEDIATELY layed down. It would have take quite a while, if ever, for anything released in the air from that height to reach the ground.
But, in the plot, the feds were warned by Pussy Galore, so they acted the part. Besides, don't count on motion pictures to be documentaries.
I guess the soldiers weren't told to wait a few minutes before lying down, to make it look like it really was nerve gas :)
It would be hard enough in directing the movie, spread out over a lot of ground, to get them to collapse in time as the planes flew over. This is why movies are movies. I recall when seeing the film that their rapid downfall was not in keeping with the lengthy struggles of the gangsters being gassed in Goldfinger's lair.
