I sent a copy to my kids as well and loaned mine to the neighbors, I am leery of what some might call fearporn but this book scared the hell out of me and has increased my situational awareness for sure.
I read it in just a couple days. I read a lot but haven’t really read full books for awhile. This one spooked me.
My wife then read it. In a couple days. She was amazed by the detail and how Kurt describes the defense operations. Our neighbors and us have discussed some of that prior to this book. Now we have a more detailed outlook. We’re in a relatively rural area so wouldn’t be part of the initial attacks…but are isolated enough for the bad guys to have easy pickings if taken by surprise. So our SA is always heightened. And have tools readily available.
Being prepared, whether mentally and/or physically isn’t fearporning. It’s smart. Can’t coexist with those who want to kill you.
Agree. Rural here as well - always prepared but stepped up on early warning and keeping help closer at hand always. You are right that we cannot coexist with people who want to kill you,
