I wish I knew more when I gave birth. You’re absolutely right we are cutting off stem cells that repair any birth damage. God designed us to have much healthier babies then we get from the current sick model of giving birth. I wish we had birth centers with doulas and midwives and one emergency doctor who likely wouldn’t be very busy if they had a team of midwives and places to have babies where sick people aren’t and mothers with their babies instead of nurses. Teaching the new mom instead of isolation of a newborn.
Also, the skin contact is healthy. Also leaving the umbilical attached longer is a good thing.

Yes, I wish my births had been different. But, at least my daughter listened and they went the midwife route. Much less invasive.
