They are one of the most made in US cars available actually. Texas has a big factory and I think a few others

My F-150 was made in Norfolk, VA.
I buy American. You have to research "problem children/drivetrains" on everything regardless of manufacturer these days. Most can't keep a good transmission in them...

Little Ford transits ship as station wagons with seats. Port of Baltimore, removes them and ships them back to Turkey so they can reuse them on commercial vans, disguised as station wagons/passenger vehicles. Peak retardification ...

I’d rather have a Toyota than any other vehicle. Sadly most American car brands just don’t hold up. I’d love to see cars back to being built like they were decades ago. If I hadn’t wrecked my 4Runner with about 150K miles I’d still be driving it. We know people with Chevy & GMC having trouble before 100K. My husband has a ford truck and I love it. He just told me (I think) the transmission is going out on GMC trucks at around 100K miles and has to be replaced. We have a Highlander now, it’s very nice but I’d rather have that old 4Runner. By the way I saw an article recently said some new cars were going up at least 12K because of tariffs. I don’t have the source.
